Hello everyone, it’s Justice from Minami Nagareyama. It’s officially
well into October which is my favorite month because of Halloween. I’m
from America so Halloween is a really big and fun holiday with events
that last the entire month.
Most people know that everyone, especially children, dress up in
costumes to go trick or treating and get lots of candy that usually
lasts for months. But unlike Japan the costumes are usually scary or
funny and less like a cosplay. People also go to pumpkin patches to pick
out pumpkins to carve into jack-o’-lanterns, and decorate their houses
with spooky things like cobwebs and graves.
Haunted houses in America aren’t a summer activity like in Japan, but
instead they are often found around Halloween time as well as haunted
mazes and hay rides. It’s a fun family event that everyone or all ages
can enjoy.
Later this month, at HANDZ we are having a Halloween event trying to
bring a feel of Halloween to everyone and I’m looking forward to
celebrating my favorite holiday with everyone!
