Halloween is almost here!
Hello this is Terrah from Annex!
In America, pumpkins are a big part of Halloween! Many families visit
pumpkin patches to pick out their favorite pumpkins. Then, they carve
funny or scary faces into them to make jack-o’-lanterns!
When I was younger, I would carve pumpkins with my dad and little
sister. It was always a fun activity we could do together! While we
carved our pumpkins, my dad would save the pumpkin seeds to roast so we
could eat them later!
In Japan, I noticed Halloween is a little different. You can see lots of
pumpkin decorations in stores and shopping malls, but carving pumpkins
at home is not as common as it is in America.
Have you ever carved a pumpkin? What kind of face would you make?
もうすぐハロウィンがやってきますね!
