Hello! This is Mary from Minami-Kashiwa.
I’ve had so much fun studying and preparing for summer break with the
students.
We are finishing this month with test week! So far everyone has done
really well on their tests, I am super proud of all of you!
Summer break in America is usually from June to the middle of August.
During this time, students have a little homework to complete: like
essays, books to read and discussion questions to answer; and maybe a
science project or presentation.
Similarly I’ve learned schools in Japan have summer break mid July to
September! I’ve asked many students what they do during this time and
have loved hearing everyone’s answers 🙂
Some have said they go visit their grandparents, visit different
prefectures with their families, go to amusement parks, summer
festivals, and some enjoy staying home!
I look forward to hearing more of your summer break stories at your next
HANDZ English School class 🙂

今週はテスト週間です。みんなとても良くできていて、私はみなさ
アメリカの夏休みは、一般的に6月から8月中旬ごろまでです。夏
日本の学校の夏休みは、7月中旬から9月ごろまでですね。
生徒のみなさんに「夏休みは何をするの？」と聞いて、いろいろな
「おじいちゃん、おばあちゃんに会いに行くよ！」
「家族で遠くに旅行に行くよ！」
「遊園地や夏祭りに行く予定！」
「おうちにいるのが好き！」
など、それぞれ素敵な予定を教えてくれました。
夏休みが終わったら、ぜひみなさんの思い出を英語でたくさん聞か
次のレッスンで会えるのを楽しみにしています♪
