Hello! It’s Julia from ANNEX!
This month, we decorated our wall with colorful flowers. There is a
famous English saying: “April showers bring May flowers.” This saying
comes from a poem in the UK from the 1600s.
In April, the weather is often still cold and rainy in the UK. Sometimes
you can even see sunshine and snow on the same day! Because of this,
flowers usually don’t bloom in April. But when May finally comes,
beautiful flowers can be seen everywhere!
We also use this phrase to explain life. Sometimes, difficult or sad
times (the “April showers”) can lead to happy and wonderful moments (the
“May flowers”).
If you are going through your own “April showers,” I hope you will soon
see beautiful and happy “May flowers”!
