funny Christmas tradition in my family.
Many families set up Christmas trees in December and decorate them with
pretty, cute, and sometimes funny ornaments. My family had a very funny
ornament…
It was a pickle! Isn’t that silly?!
My parents hid the pickle ornament in the tree, and the first person to
find it got a bonus present. It was a challenge to find because the
green pickle blended in with the green tree. I remember I found it one
year, and the bonus present was my favorite chocolate!
I played this game with a few of my students, and they thought it was
fun! But when I asked if they liked pickles, they said, “No! It’s
yucky!”
