Hello, it’s Kendall at ANNEX. This month is the Halloween season. I am
so excited to do Halloween at ANNEX this year.
Our theme for Halloween will be about a Mexican holiday called Dia de
Los Muertos or Day of the Dead. It is a holiday celebrated about the
same time as Halloween but it is actually more similar to Japanese obon.
During the holiday family and friends gather to remember friends and
family members who have passed away.
One of the recognizable symbols of the holiday is a sugar skull, a
colorful, decorated skull made from sugar. The skulls were given to
children as presents but now they also use them to decorate altars for
the people that passed away.
ANNEX students colored sugar skulls to decorate for Halloween. Let’s

今年もANNEXでハロウィンを行えることをとても楽しみにして

このお祭りはハロウィンと同じ時期に行われますが、実は日本のお
