Hello.
This is Louie from Otakanomori.
We are now in the peak of Summer here in Japan. I grew up in London and
now live in Japan. I often compare the weather from back home to here,
especially during the summer months.
Summer in London is fun and refreshing, with mild comfortable
temperatures and long daylight hours. The parks are full with people
enjoying picnics, outdoor activities and festivals. At home, people
enjoy the summer in their gardens by having barbeque’s, gatherings and
relaxing.
Japan’s summer is equally fun with vibrant festivals, dazzling fireworks
and the distinct sound of cicadas. The temperatures are much higher than
in London and the humidity adds to the intensity. This can often be
challenging to someone from the UK.
Whether you enjoy a peaceful and relaxing summer or fun seasonal
traditions, both London and Japan offer unique summer experiences.
