Hello. This is Kendall at ANNEX. This month the 3rd class students are
learning a new spelling rule. As many of you know, when you make a word
plural we usually add an ‘s’. For example ‘cat’ becomes ‘cats’, ‘pencil’
changes to ‘pencils’. So, why does ‘box’ become ‘boxes’?
The rule is that we add ‘es’ to words that end in ‘x’, ‘s’, ‘z’ ‘ch’,
and ‘sh’. Give it a try. Fish→_______. Fox→_______. Watch→________.
Spelling and reading is easy when you learn the rules.
